A gorgeous book that is perfect for any coffee table. Author Ron Faiola, paints a vivid journey into great places in Wisconsin. He gives a great look at around 50 clubs from a across the beautiful state of Wisconsin.
The book gives great descriptions of old super clubs. These awesome clubs are mostly family owned, and often times operated by people that believe in great customer service. It is really cool to read about his individual experiences in these various places.
The author talks about old fashioned hospitality, slow maybe even precise dining, and great cooking. There are many pictures of the actual cooks sharing their food. You can see how much the author loves and has a passion for food and people.
I really enjoyed reliving the experiences the author had. This is the perfect book to use as a guide for places to eat in Wisconsin. They author uses a writing style that inspires adventure and interest. This book is perfect for super club newbies, and ones that have been time and time again.
The book itself is really nice, the pages are glossy and feel nice. The book contains thick page and the photos are high quality. This will make a great coffee table book for your entire family and guests to enjoy!
This is a sequel to a book that I hadn't read, I did some research and this is a very popular book. I suggest you check out this book regardless of reading the first.

Wisconsin Supper Clubs: Another Round, a sequel to author/photographer Ron Faiola's wildly popular first book on the topic (now in its sixth printing), gives readers a peek inside 50 additional clubs from across the Badger State.
Traveling from the Northwoods to Beloit, Faiola documents some of the most exceptional and long-lived restaurants that embrace the decades-old supper club tradition. These are largely family-owned establishments that believe in old-fashioned hospitality, slow-paced dining, and good scratch cooking.
In this guide, readers will find interviews with supper club proprietors and customers as well as a bounty of photographs of classic dishes, club interiors, and other scenes from Faiola’s extensive travels.
Despite the chain restaurants that continue to dominate the culinary landscape, supper clubs across the Midwest are thriving today in many of the same ways as they have for the past 80 years. The term "supper club" has even been borrowed recently by the burgeoning underground restaurant scene, which champions an upscale-yet-communal dining experience similar to that offered by traditional supper clubs.
Wisconsin Supper Clubs: Another Round is a new, intimate look at this uniquely American tradition, one that invites supper club enthusiasts and newcomers alike to enjoy a second helping of everything that made Wisconsin Supper Clubs such a hit.
