About the book:
DiMarco pin1
"A Woman Overwhelmed" is a phrase with which many women can relate.
But what would happen if we could see the insanity in our pace and embrace our overwhelming God?
There is a reason they say that a woman's work is never done- because it isn't! As women, we often are overwhelmed by the demands and circumstances of life, resulting in stress, fear, worry, impatience, fatigue, frustration, and even depression. The truth is that we were created to be overwhelmed . . . not by life but by God! When we learn to be overwhelmed by God, the fruit in our lives goes from rotten to fragrant-filling our days with peace, hope, love, and joy
In A Woman Overwhelmed, best-selling author Hayley DiMarco shares biblical insights and personal stories to offer a glimpse at the comedy of an overwhelmed life while encouraging us to discover the depths and heights of God's love and power.
Be empowered to find freedom in becoming overwhelmed with who God is-by learning to focus on what we know about God so that we can hold onto faith even when it seems that all is lost. For it is when an overwhelmed woman gives up the mission of me and exchanges it for the mission of God that being overwhelmedbecomes a good thing.
Choose to bask in the abundance of the Father instead of the abundance of life as his unfathomable depths can surely replace our fathomable messes.

My Thoughts On The Book:
The Action Storybook Bible is a super cute interactive story that will take you through the wonder of Gods words. This is a bible for kids ages 8 years of age and younger but I believe older kids would benefit for this as well.

The Bible has beautiful illustrations that will provide interest and excitement for your child. The colors are bright and super realistic. There is an easy to read print, which will allow for quick reading. I felt like the stories were pretty short and easy to read but also challenging for kids. I loved all the special content included. There is a visual index which is perfect for little ones to explore their favorite biblical characters.

I think children will enjoy the various real life faith in action activities that are provided in each section. They are really easy but very life to change things that you can do with your children. At the end of each day, there is a prayer that the parent and child can say together. I like the way the Bible wraps up each day in this way.

Blog Tour 'A Name Unknown'

This is the first novel in a brand new series called Shadows Over England Series. This is a great read and is in the genre of Historical fiction, it is a Christian novel with romantic elements. It was a quick read, at about 428 pages it took me two days to finish. My rating for this book is a strong 5 stars.

Book info

About the book:

She's out to steal his name. Will he steal her heart instead?
Rosemary Gresham has no family beyond the band of former urchins that helped her survive as a girl in the mean streets of London. Grown now, they are no longer pickpockets-now they focus on high value items and have learned how to blend into upper-class society. Rosemary's challenge of a lifetime comes when she's assigned to determine whether a certain wealthy gentleman is loyal to Britain or to Germany. How does one steal a family's history, their very name?
Rumors swirl around Peter Holstein. Awkward and solitary, but with access to the king, many fear his influence. But Peter can't help his German last name and wants to prove his loyalty to the crown-so he can go back to anonymously writing a series of popular adventure novels. When Rosemary arrives on his doorstop pretending to be a well- credentialed historian, Peter believes she's the right person to help him dig through his family's past.
Anger and danger continue to mount, though, and both realize they're in a race against time to discover the truth-about Peter's past and about the undeniable attraction kindling between them.

My Review:

This is the first time I have read a book in this genre. I have always been interested in World War 1 so this was the perfect novel for me. This novel is set in England in 1914. The war is approaching and the country is in turmoil. The setting is perfectly weaved and blended with history.

The book follows two main characters Petter and Rosemary, who is absolutely adorable and enjoyable. The character of Peter is an aristocrat, who has a good relationship with the King. The main problem we follow with him is the fact that his name is Holstein, in a hostile world this causes quite a bit of trouble for him. Due to his German name, many people want him dead. The other main character Rosemary is one of thirteen orphans who have come together to form a family. These members of the family have special skills that make them survive the streets of London. Rosemary is a thief, one that is good and successful which has made her quite valuable.

In the end, Peter hires her to organize the library of his family, in order to find critical documents he needs. It is quickly realized that the library is really unorganized and has been neglected. This is was an interesting part of the story for me because I didn't realize that German residents who could not prove their citizenship could be sent to an internment camp. Which is why he was trying to prove his citizenship or loyalty to England.

I enjoyed the writing style and the wonderful blend of characters that the author created. They were dynamic and well rounded. Some of the most interesting ones were the characters that had clashes with our main characters.

About the author:

Roseanna M. White pens her novels beneath her Betsy Ross flag, with her Jane Austen action figure watching over her. When not writing fiction, she's homeschooling her two children, editing and designing, and pretending her house will clean itself. Roseanna is the author of over a dozen historical novels and novellas, ranging from biblical fiction to American-set romances to her British series. Spies and war and mayhem always seem to make their way into her novels . . . to offset her real life, which is blessedly boring. She passes said boring life with her husband and kids in the beautiful mountains of eastern West Virginia.
