Blog Tour: Pass it on

Book Info:

There are many different kinds of legacies we can leave, but sharing yourself and your faith with the next generation will always stand the test of time. Through showing himself and his wisdom in the book of Proverbs, God has also left his legacy with us---and relies on us to share it with our children and grandchildren. But before we can share that wisdom, first we must grow in our own understanding and knowledge and record, reflect, and consider what we have learned.

Pass it On provides readers with an opportunity to create a legacy of wisdom and faith and to share it with their children and grandchildren. As readers are guided through the book of Proverbs, they are asked to create their own personalized, wisdom journal with the aim of giving it to someone they love. Through careful study, answering questions, writing out prayers, and sharing personal stories, readers can create a lasting keepsake for themselves and for their families and friends.

Created by Champ Thornton, best-selling author of The Radical Book for Kids, Pass It On is an innovative resource to strengthen families and help them grow in their love for God and each other. This is a perfect gift for an older and wiser friend or relative, so they can share themselves and what they have learned about God with the next generation.

My Thoughts

This book or journal is seriously the most beautiful book I have seen in a while. I love that this is centered around proverbs. Which is my favorite book of the bible right now? I found this a super intriguing to me. This journal dives deep into the meaning of each verse. I also love the concept of passing this book on to the next generation. It is something that your loved one or friend will like to receive.

The cover has a super soft leather feel, and it is intensely textured. I love the stitching of this book. I loved that the colors were so unique. The lettering is pretty and shimmery. I liked the whole cover concept.

The book starts out with an introduction. The first twenty pages tell you how to approach this book/journal. I loved the concept of a birds-eye view of proverbs. From there the book went proverb from the proverb. It begins with a guided tour which is small and compact, less than a few paragraphs. Then you get a glance view which provides a chart which has a break down of the verses. Then the chapter has a section for reflection. This allows you to write prayers, share stories, and answer various questions.

The questions were interesting but at times confusing. Sometimes I struggled to find a way to answer a few of them. They did allow you to reflect and think about proverbs in a different way.

I enjoyed this book so much. I think whoever receives this will love to read the words you up in the book. I would love to have received something like this from my mother or grandmother.

Disclaimer: I received this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All thoughts are my own.
