MY THOUGHTS ON THE BOOK
This is the second book in the Hunter Hill University series. I reviewed the first on Calling California earlier and you can read my review here. While this is a series all of the books can be read as standalone so don't worry about catching up!
Mending Michael was such an incredible romance. It was sweet and adorable at times. It dealt with the topics of finding yourself, making your own choices, love, family, and friendship. Right from the start, I was absolutely hooked.
The main character Michael has a lot on his plate. Tragedy struck his family at a young age. He and his sister had to grow up on their own. Now his sister is having trouble with CPS and he is trying to find a way to save her from the same path of destruction. He doesn’t want to lose the niece he loves. Can he save the two people he cares most about?
The other character in this book his Holiday Buchanan. Holly is the girl with everything. She is the exact opposite of Michael in every way. She has money, a family. Social standing, and a great future. Unfortunately, her life is planned for her and everything is controlled by her father. Can she escape from underneath his demands?
Overall Mending Michael was a very clean read with some awesome themes inside it. It was about overcoming abandonment, infidelity, drug use, and ultimately your belief system. A quick fast paced read guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.
Disclaimer: I received an electronic advanced readers edition of this book via Lola’s Blog Tours in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
